I usually recommend the Whirlpool brand because if you have problems a Whirlpool tech will make a site visit. If you go with Splendide, and have issues, you'll have to take the unit to a repair location. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Not quite correct - as a mobile RV repair business we use to repair Splendide units all the time in and out of warranty....I have the stackable units in my TH.
