Gateway 1000 & Consumer Cellular

I know it’s not officially supported, but I’d like to use our existing Consumer Cellular data with our Gateway 1000. I installed a CC SIM card and it is not recognized. Any thoughts?

Or could we use an AT&T BYOD SIM card for their pay-as-you-go service?
