  • Rear Camera Installation Problem

    Morning,

We bought a Transcend xplorer 240ml yesterday and spent 3hrs at the dealers with them trying to install the 7" furrion 3 camera system to our 2019 Silverado 1500, would work using a slave battery box but as soon as it was connected through our cigarette lighter would loose all signal, we were told it was due to poor ampage going through the lighter, has anyone else come across this problem and are there any easy solutions or do we go to the Chevy dealer Thanks

    Hi Mark,
I moved your post to it's own thread (hope you see this!). As that was your first post, please check out the Welcome Letter to New Members at https://gdrvowners.com/forum/main-fo...to-new-members

Sorry I can't help with your exact question--hopefully other GM product owners will chime in here soon.

The amperage story is bologna. You are talking about connecting the monitor to the lighter plug, right? Does the monitor have display, just nothing from the camera? Is the lighter adapter you are using the one that came with the camera system?
