  • Ventilation Fans

We try to use our AC as infrequently as possible, preferring to have all the RV windows open whenever the weather allows. For some reason, it never occurred to us to install some 12V ventilation fans like we used for years in our boating experience. We went through several versions on our boat before discovering that the Caframo Sirroco multi-directional fans are the best (I have no affiliation with Caframo . . . although they are a Canadian company ) https://www.caframobrands.com/7010cabbx.html

One of these fans at the large back window and another on the bedroom wall, move the air around with a minimum of noise. They fold and latch out of the way when not in use. On the rare occasion that we close up and turn on our one AC, I was surprised to discover how much more cold air circulation was created by running these fans.

With a current draw of 0.35 amps on high speed, it almost seems too good to be true. It's hard to believe you can run these for three hours on high and only use 1.05 amp hours of battery power! at $149 USD, that seems like a great deal and a great idea!

We seldom use A/C, also. Even with the windows open those still nights can be uncomfortable... I like this mod!!!

And we seldom use these fans above low speed where they are almost silent.

Yeah . . . made in Canada and I can buy them cheaper in Florida, even with the exchange rate. Go figure . . .
