  • Quick disconnect fitting

I want to find a way to insert a pressure gauge at the trailer without having to tap into the PEX input line. One alternative would be to get a fitting that would attach to the faucet fixture output on the Nautilus panel. What would the particular quick disconnect fitting that is used on the coiled hose be called?

Ideally if I could find an adapter to go from the quick disconnect to a garden hose thread I could make it work. It would really just be the GD supplied hose without the coiled part.

Second choice would be adapting a gauge using some kind of inline fitting on the water supply to the trailer.

    Any suggestions appreciated.

Cate&Rob Rob, I believe you have done this.

OP, You might be able to put a pressure gauge on the low point drain (just remove for travel) if you are curious about pressure rise in the system. Otherwise a regulator with pressure gauge may be the option https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Post #22. I used an air hose fitting as you can see. https://gdrvowners.com/forum/operati...ump-leak/page2

I want the gauge on permanently. I have a Watts regulator with a port for gauge, but I want to read the pressure on the trailer side of the inlet valve, not at the supply.

Exactly what I want to do, but don't need to pass through to hose. Just terminate the gauge coming out of the faucet.

In your pictures are there 2 air hose fittings (male and female) on the input side of the gauge, or can you get by with just one male fitting on the gauge itself that will fit into the Nautilus faucet?

i use quick connect fittings on all my removable water connections. I have had good results with Gardena brand fittings. https://www.gardena.com/ca-en/produc...hose-fittings/ These are readily available in Canada, but harder to find in the US. There are other brands, but I think theses are all different than the OEM coiled hose connection which looks to be an air hose connection as described in the linked thread.

In any case . . , connecting to the outside shower connection and turning on the cold water tap will access the system pressure. Turning on the hot tap will not give you a true reading if there is a check valve on the outlet of the water heater.

You could just do the input side but I had the hose connected so I could relieve pressure right there rather than have to go inside to relieve the pressure.

Edit ti add: That white hose you see in the background has nothing to do with the gauge connection. It is where hook up to city water and that runs through the filter I have mounted.
