Can you safely open your forward schwintek slides on a 382WB (5th wheel trailer) when it's still hitched to the truck for overhight stops?

Yes, have done it many times.

Sure. Just make sure you're fairly level. And as always, run the slide all the way out and hold the button for at least five seconds after it stops traveling.
