Slide ramp?

I have a problem with my slide ramp (dont know what to call it). It is on the dining slide of a 2018 337rls, where the floor of the slide meets the main floor. It is a 2 inch wide plastic piece tapered that the slide sitson when open.
that piece broke so i am looking at replacing but I need to know what it is called and most importantly I need to figure out what could have caused it to fail so I just don't fix a symptom

Any ideas would be appreciated.

I would suggest a call to GD Customer Service, have your VIN ready, and send them these pictures. I am not sure if this part is available or not, they will tell you. I do not think that the part failed but do think something was dropped on it or something similar, stepped on at the wrong angle.

It looks like just a failed piece of plastic. It failed near that screw. If it were mine, I'd put it back into place and use a good adhesive to hold the two pieces together. Then I'd run a new screw in on each side of the break to keep it from moving.
