Slide Leaks in Hard rain while closed

I thought of your modification with the extra seals when this issue came up for me. For the top seal, do you have enough room between the existing bulb seal and the top lip of the outside trim? Is that where you were thinking of putting an ancillary seal? I don't have a great photo of mine, but from what I can see in the one I do have, it looks like the bulb seal is right up to the top...

I vaguely remember on mine there is room, but it might be below the top seal. Ill haft to look when I get a chance.

I just took a second look at you photo. On my trailer the top of the seal in the photo that is attached to the channel on the side of the trailer is calked. I do not see any calking in your photo along the top seal seam.

Yoda - thanks Keith. Interesting that on yours the caulking goes down to the rubber bulb seal, whereas mine only has caulking down the to track that attaches to the bulb seal. I guess in theory that could give water a path to follow when the slide is closed that leads inside. I'll have to keep digging!
