  • What is Propane Lockout?

Excellent video on the topic by the National RV Training Academy. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTNwQw3G4io

You can also just turn all the propane-using appliances 'off' and wait those reset seconds as the excess flow valve resets. Without going outside to cycle the cylinder valve. The slight flow across the excess flow valve will, in a short time, allow pressure to balance across the valve.
    Informative video.

Just one nit to pick. He seems to suggest that air in the propane lines is OK because the fuel-air mixture need only be a small percent propane. The mixing of propane and air occurs at the burners. The propane lines should be filled with all propane, little to no air. Too much air in the propane line would dilute the air-gas mix at the burner resulting in no flame.
