FedEx dropped off my crimper this morning.
I am very impressed with the build quality and features. The tool will sit flat on a table and I am pretty sure I can clamp it down. I wonder who gave me that idea
The crimp dies are very well made and marked. Whats cool is the die sizing. Example - for 4/0 they actually have three sets the stock 4/0 and an undersized and oversized one. It goes down to 10 AWG so I can actually us this to crimp the cable splices on my wire fencing. The other fence line crimper I have is huge and very cumbersome to use
One neat feature is the crimp head can be rotated and when the pressure knob is released the hydraulic piston returns to the home position. The kit also came with a set of replacement o-rings.
Haven't crimped with it yet - still waiting for my wire to show up. Ill update this once I am set up and running.
