New to Fifth Wheel camping. Just bought my F250 and a GD 337 RLS. Should I have a lift kit installed?

Hi Bruce,
You will probably have enough difficulty getting the 337 to tow level with the recommended 6+ inches of clearance between trailer overhang and truck box rails . . . without lifting the back of the truck. Depending on the year of the truck, you will have to watch your payload carefully to tow a 337 with an F250.

Bruce McDonald As Rob says, I had to lower the rear end of my 2019 F350 to get the needed clearance. Fifth wheels do not place nice with lift kits.Forum moderators are not GD employees--we are volunteers and owners presumably just like yourself. Unless specifically mentioned otherwise, we have nothing to gain should you choose to purchase a product or engage a service we discuss on this forum.

You might want to move your hitch up one hole to gain a little more bed rail clearance, this will not hurt the "level" of the trailer enough to worry about. If you measure the frame at the front and rear of the tires there will be little difference, it might change 1/4".
