Does anyone have a suggestion on getting what packages the truck was built with looked up? The best I've found is some website that is selling replica Dealer Window Tags, but he is more targeted at "show" vehicles. (They come in a wooden frame) I just want to know what the truck was built with.
There is this page I used to get a PDF of the window sticker for a given VIN. Just put your VIN after the =
It should list what was installed in the truck when it left the factory
You may be able to see the original window sticker by way of a CarFax report. Though I've come to find that's not 100% reliable. I was about to buy the parts to put in an engine block heater, but decided to double-check physically... Turns out my truck does have one even though it's not standard equipment nor on the window sticker.

Most (not all) diesels come with a block heater. Not all have the magic cord attached to plug them in. I think even the ones built for places like Florida and South Texas have block heaters.
