  • B&W Continuum hitch

We've not been doing much camping through late winter and spring due to selling a house and moving into an unfinished remodel. Our house sold sooner than expected. We did get to spend a little over a month in our camper in the driveway though. So I guess that counts. So what better to do when you cant camp...buy stuff for camping.
We upgraded our tow vehicle to a 2021 chevy 1500 with the 3.0 diesel.
Also to the topic I replaced the fastway E2 roundbar with the B&W Continuum. I havent had a chance to pull with it yet, but am beyond impressed with the build, quality and concept behind the hitch. Installation was very straightforward and getting it hooked up to the truck is extremely simple and quick.

Good evening. Man, that is a sweet looking hitch. I just changed to a different hitch myself, and the B&W Continuum was certainly a contender. I narrowed it down to the Weigh Safe and B&W. One of the primary concerns was the ground clearance concern on the B&W. But now that I see your measurements, that would not have been an issue.

If you haven't seen it yet, here is a great video assessment of the B&W by another GDRV owner.

Jim, how do you like the weigh safe hitch? Do you have the middleweight or the true tow? I am currently looking at the middleweight and have seen a few videos showing the only drawback is that you cannot open your tailgate when installed.

We finally got a chance to take the 17MKE out for a weekend and try out the new hitch. I am super impressed with how well it handled. Stopped a few times to adjust the hydraulic pressure, just trying to feel out too much too little and just right on distribution. Hitch is extremely quick and easy to hook up. Couldn't be happier with the upgrade.
it was also our first opportunity to see how the 1/2 ton with 3.0 Duramax pulled and I couldn't be more pleased with the truck either. It handled great, I averaged around 13.5 MPG towing.
