  • Flickering Tail/Running Lights

I noticed the other night when we parked that the tail and running lights were flickering. The truck (2023 GMC 3500) was still connected but not running. Sadly, I don't remember what I did to make it stop.

IIRC any time the trailer is connected to the truck and the truck is ON but not necessarily running they lights could flicker as part of the connected check. Do you remember if the door was open or if the truck was set to on but not run?

Good question on the door. I don't remember but will make that something to pay attention to when I get back to looking at it.

If it is not the truck, - which I suspect is with the truck system checking everything, check the pin box electrical connections. The white wires there are the home run from all the lights negative returns. Make sure they are all properly tied together, then check the masted power in bar that is probably located in your font bay lower right corner. Again there will be a bunch of white wires below it tied together with one going to the frame. Just make sure everything is tight.

My previous trailer(2019 Jayco) and this one('24 Solitude) both do this with my 2022 Chevy. It's a "feature" I've decided. May have something do with GM's odd power system at the trailer connection. The same system that requires a me to have a Furion adapter for my camera on the back.
