Will do. Thanks. Lastly, I was looking above at our conversation about tongue weight and payload. I have plenty of payload, so I should be able to move some things from the camper to the bed of my truck as long as I don't go over the GVWR of the truck and the rear axle GWR if I'm correct.

Last question I promise. As far as procedure once I get the tongue weight scale. What would the best order to do things be? Get my weights from the scale, and then use tongue weight scale to adjust tongue weight based off trailer GVW from the scale? Then there's the WDH, so I could see going back and forth between adjusting things and re-weighing to find that perfect setup.

this is very interesting to me as I am picking up the same trailer in about a week . I know from past experience that many RV dealers do not know how to set them up properly and I have to go by A CAT scale on the way there and on the way back . i think I'll also by a tongue weight scale . I'll be pulling it with a Ram 1500 with 4 corner air suspension . I know how to turn that off for set up but I think it can complicate things when its back on . Any pointers ?

Yes on the payload and rear axle--I do the exact same thing, as my F-350 DRW has almost quite a bit of payload left that I'm not utilizing (even with my Honda Goldwing loaded in the bed).

Tongue weight is a percentage of the trailer's gross weight. So the "right" tongue weight will change as the trailer's gross weight changes.

If your trailer weighs more than the GVWR amount, that should be job #1--get back to (or below) the max weight the trailer is rated to carry.

Since you will be at (or very close) to GVWR, figuring out a target tongue weight is easy--websites typically recommend in the range of 10-15%, so if the tongue weight of your 2670MK is between 850 and 1275 lbs you're at a good starting point. (8495 is the GVWR per GD's website, so those numbers are 10% and 15% of that figure.)

"Going back and forth between adjusting things" is an apt description of exactly what I went through as I learned, adjusted, tweaked, weighed, measured and got where I knew what I had (and why). Then I'd mod my trailer and have to start all over again. (It gets easier.)

Not sure if I've referenced this thread, so if not, check this out if you want to see the lengths I went to understand my setup. https://gdrvowners.com/towing-and-hi...wing-a-315rlts Note that after I posted that thread (and video) a fellow forum member pointed out there's actually a procedure in Ford's manual (which I had never read). Oops. Turned out what I did (though much more convoluted) resulted in what the manual said was correct. (Yea.)

The thread I referenced in the previous post, https://gdrvowners.com/towing-and-hi...wing-a-315rlts, shows how I adjusted using the air bags I installed on my Ford. I know nothing about Ram's system (sorry).

You and chrisopy should swap notes in this thread.
