  • New Hitch Receiver for our New 22MLE

I just picked up our trailer from my welder after adding a custom hitch receiver for our electric bike rack. After selling our 337RLS I have been carrying our bikes on a receiver I had mounted to the front of the truck, but I really didn't like that at all. It was always hanging out there and I found it a PIA when I was parking in parking lots, etc.

Of course, he did a great job tying it into the frame and finishing it off nicely.

I will be carrying the spare in the bed of the truck for now until I pick up a BAL tire carrier which I mounted under a 5th wheel I had before my 337RLS.

My welder did a custom hitch on that trailer too!

    A few pictures:

This trailer I had 3 receivers added!

Here's the BAL tire carrier from my earlier trailer:

Paul. Saw your post on the spare tire carrier and searched your posts to find this. The weld looks great. We had our e bikes with is this winter and I had them loaded in the bed of the truck with a midway topper. I would really appreciate it if you could provide some more detailed photos of the hitch install/weld. We are not going anywhere for a couple of months and I would really like to explore a good solid rear hitch. I'd happily trade the room for the bikes, for now, for the spare tire in the bed. Our bikes are 65 LBS as well. Two of them. Reason for the photos, I would need to shop around for a good weld shop and they would help me to show what I'm needing.

Well these pictures might not be too much help as I'm not the greatest photographer but here's a few more that may help. The main cross beam is welded solidly along the full height off the frame with additional support that was very hard to photograph, the receiver tube is welded to the bumper tube also so there's a lot of good contact plus some angle supports from the main tube to the main cross member.

Thank you Paul, the additional photos help a lot. Very much appreciated!
