  • Puck to Rail adapter Brand Comparisons

As many of you know I have a new F350 coming with the puck system. In order to use my current Reese R20 hitch I need an adapter for one of my options, So today I searched for every brand that would fit my truck I found 5 brands out there that had one that should work. I am listing them in no specific order. Interesting reading the reviews (take with a grain if salt) each has a possible benefit. I am not fond of the pin together PullRite as I am concerned about noise (several review comments) due to fitment slop that comes with pins. Also as an engineer I am not sure of the roll pin strength when used as a puck lock.

I added the manufacturer link and instructions to help folks compare.

    Curt
https://www.etrailer.com/p-C88KR.htm...350+Super+Duty Good reviews, 25K rating, bolts together, robust hardware. 2.5" raise in hitch height over std rails. reasonable pricing. Also the adjusting of the puck locks is straight forward with a simple nut adjustment. More slot than others and will work with my rail mount goose neck plate. https://www.curtmfg.com/part/16027 Instructions https://assets.curtmfg.com/masterlib.../16027_INS.pdf
    Reese
https://www.etrailer.com/Accessories...e/RP30156.html Good reviews - some comments on flimsy handles. Welded frame construction. 20K rating. Smallest foot print and good adjustment of puck locks. 2.5" rise in hitch height over std rails. https://www.reeseprod.com/product/30...ch-adapter-kit Instructions https://www.reeseprod.com/product-as...all/N30156.pdf
    DEMCO
https://www.etrailer.com/Accessories...co/DM6175.html Low profile and welded frame. Heavier than others, but manageable. Low profile 2" rise in hitch height over std rails. Adjustment of puck locks is a bit more complicated as you need to remove to adjust. Price is more than most. Reviews good. 25K rating https://www.demco-products.com/rv-to...for-ford-truck Instructions https://cdn.demco-products.com/docum...ls/HJ26175.pdf
    PullRite
https://www.pullrite.com/4442 Good reviews - some fitment issues with some hitches, Expensive. Frame held together with std shak pin and clip (same style used to hole hitches to rails). Roll pin used in puck lock. Very different puck lock adjustment. 2.5" raise in hitch height. Instructions https://www.pullrite.com/sites/defau...oe-adapter.pdf 20K rating
    EAZ-LIFT
https://www.eaz-lift.com/collections...2010-2019-ford Mixed reviews, especially for other brand hitch fitment. Two separate welded frame pieces. Low profile. Roughly 2" hitch height raise over std rails. Instructions https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/02...f?v=1595596666 Harder to find on line. 22K rating

So if anyone has one of theses please let us know your thoughts and why you chose the brand/model you did. They all had comments on noise, but most said it could be adjusted out.

Right now I like the Curt as I can use my GN ball plate on it, second is the Reese.

I am hoping this helps others to research and choose correctly if they ever need to buy an adapter.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks
    Keith
