  • Receiver adapters for Ford 3" receiver

Well I have some ribs smoking so thought I would check out some sales. My new 2022 F350 comes with 3" receiver. They give you a 3" to 2.5 inch adapter and will gladly sell you the 2.5 to 2" adapter for about 40$ All my receiver stuff is 2" I wont tow very often, but it would be nice to be prepared.

So searching I found numerous issues with a lot of adapters getting the holes to line up through them all. Then I ran across the Curt one with the indexing dimples. https://www.etrailer.com/Hitch-Adapt...tm_content=All

Anyone have any experience with this adapter? Is there something better or similar?

    Thanks
    Keith

    I use this one. https://www.huskytow.com/husky-towin...r-tube-adapter

3" all the way to 2" with a single adapter. And for a cheesy alignment solution, while everything was hooked up, there is just enough of the adapter sticking out to put a hose clamp around it tight up the the hitch. That way, every time I hook up, just bottom out the hose clamp and the adapter is lined up.

Same. Solution would work to line up the hitch side to the adapter. I just haven't don't that yet.

Yoda attached Pic may be better. Just shove it in to the clamp. Click image for larger version

If you are or know someone that is handy with a welder and a torch, you can put a ring on the exposed end. The GM adapter that came with my truck is enlarged on the "IN" side so it bottoms out at the hole and the pin hole is aligned.
