  • Parking for GD 395MS at Port Canaveral FL for cruise in Feb '24

Ok, not seeing that a lot of folks have done this, but some have. We winter in FL a couple mos and taking a cruise from Port Canaveral. They claim to have RV parking onsite, but hard to tell details and by phone they can't confirm much. Obviously, being a "big rig" we like to know exactly where we are going, because some places like this could get you stuck to where you can't turn around or back out!! Anyone have experience with this or recommendations for RV parking around the area?/ Thanks in advance-

I'd call the KOA near the Kennedy Space center and see if they may have parking for your trailer. Another possible option is the south parking lot at Orlando airport. They have oversize parking. But I'd call first.
Finally, I'd check with multiple RV parks in the area to see if they can accommodate you.

We have not done this but have considered it, and spoke with them about it when we last cruised there. We were on Disney Cruise Line, so this may vary for the other lines. We wound up leaving it in the Fort Wilderness parking lot as we had a reservation there before and after the cruise. While we were there we scouted out the RV parking and it was wide open and easy access. Here are a couple screenshots from Google maps:

Jetty Beach Park would be my choice, its right there, but they specifically do not allow unattended rigs if you are going on a cruise. After having looked at it we would not hesitate to park the rig at the DCL terminal though.

Many years ago we parked a 25' class C in the Port Canaveral lot while on a cruise. There was plenty of real estate out there and were not boxed in. Of course that was much smaller and no TV than what you're proposing to park there. Their parking website addresses your question.

        "Official" Port Canaveral Parking

Official Port Canaveral Cruise Parking is available only directly adjacent to each of Port Canaveral’s Cruise Terminals. The Port does not own or operate any off-Port parking facilities. Park at your cruise terminal's designated parking area and walk to your ship. Oversize parking for RV's and buses is also available at each Cruise Terminal.
