My wife found the attached link while looking around for rv'ing tips. I mean no offense to GD whatsoever, just merely posting because I thought it was interesting. We're former Forest River owners, so we speak from some experience. At the Tucson rally, GD was there and going through their lists of recalls. I doubt GD is a co. that would hide a recall. Forest River never came to a rally 2000 miles from the factory!!https://youtu.be/lRwYKRf1uL4

GD is not listed, but this is the issue mentioned in the video: https://rvbusiness.com/report-nhtsa-...rv-recalls-37/

Essentially the LP fittings with issues involving leaks. Issues could be cracks or porosity in the metals.

There is a recall for various MFG listed.

I noticed GD is not listed at all on the site. Interesting.

Interesting, he said he would provide a link to the NHTSA recall but I didn't see one in his video notes. I went to the site for NHTSA and searched 2021, 2022 Grand Design (not mentioned in his video), and for good measure I searched Heartland as well since he specifically mentioned them but nothing came up. Grand Design is usually pretty good about sending out notifications to owners, but I think they do normally wait until they have a repair plan and procedure in place, which might explain the delay. Certainly if you're worried it's good practice to check your propane lines and fittings for leaks I would think.

Forum moderators are not GD employees--we are volunteers and owners presumably just like yourself. Unless specifically mentioned otherwise, we have nothing to gain should you choose to purchase a product or engage a service we discuss on this forum.

I wasn't concerned about ours, just thought I'd pass it along. From what I can see and have learned, GDRV is probably one of the best out there.

This recall seems to be impacting most manufacturers and isn't likely to be made known until July by the NHTSA. Apparently 100K units impacted.

Anyone had any confirmation from GD?

There was already a thread going on this topic so I merged your post with the existing one. Since it does not seem to affect Grand Design (at this time anyway), we're keeping it in the non technical forum.

Also welcome to the boards! I see you've got your signature filled out, so you've probably already found the welcome letter, but here's a link:
