  • 2022 Black Friday and other Sales

I hope this is OK again this year, but thought I would start this again.
First one 15% and 20% off
Delll City https://www.delcity.net/?utm_source=...cid=519a714723 This place has everything electrical you could ever need for your RV upgrade projects. Prices are good along with thier customer service

And of course Home Depot, Lowe's,Tractor supply and others are running sales too, but I have not seen anything special yet - looking for my Makita sawzall and string trimmer I posted about elsewhere.

Hope this helps folks spend thier money. BTW I am looking for a paper copy of a Harbor freight 25% off one item coupon.

    Happy and safe Thanksgiving

            Hi Keith,

With all the “crazies” cutting us off because they have no comprehension of why we leave considerable space in front of us when towing . . . everyone towing an RV should be running a dash cam (in my opinion).

LOL I can believe the "crazies" after just driving your wonderful roads Just think what would be happening if you folks followed the British of driving on the left

But then again from first hand experience here there is Atlanta and DallasOK SWMBO said add ABQ NM to the list (speed daemons). Opps also Seattle and lump in most of California (lots of nuts there) and then there is Denver/I70 mountain corridor.....Hmmmm is there a pattern here - must be getting old

For the good folks living in the places mentioned, just poking fun. I try to bypass any large city anymore.Try it sometime - found some really neat spots that way. Even Durango is going nuts lately - must be all the yellow plates

Pretty sure we have more 'nuts' per kilometer than anywhere......it's the beer...

As for road quality?......I've found crap in Canada, I've found crap in the USA....Don't think anybody can claim they have better roads overall....Individual areas can claim they have the worst though..lol

Back on topic CPO https://www.cpooutlets.com is starting thier sales, but carefully read thier add - lots of leaders, but Makita is still full price. Etrailer is also doing sales for once - don't remember that before on select items. However remember they have thier price match too. They are very good at homering it.

                    Happy spending
                    Keith

PS looking for a good cordless vacuum sale too - most I have looked at have lousy suction - maybe need to go small hand held corded,

                      Keith,

We have this Dirt Devil Power Stick Lite 4-in-1 Corded Stick Vacuum Cleaner, SD22030 - Walmart.com and it works great. No battery to worry about being charged or holding charge.

I've really been thinking about getting a dash cam, but have not researched any. Is this brand pretty well known?

Rexing is a good name in Dash Cams. Over the last several years, I have had three such cameras. The first was an inexpensive some-other-brand that never worked well. The second was an early gen Rexing that worked well but the battery eventually (several years) wouldn’t hold a charge. The third is another Rexing with better download capability, a much stronger battery and lots more memory storage. I have been running this third one for about two years now. This camera records everything that goes on in front of my truck . . . I like that and wouldn’t be without this “evidence” if I need it.

Interesting. I was just browsing at the entry level Rexing camera which I feel would do everything I needed since I don't do a lot of driving anymore. I noticed it stated it would accept a micro SD card up to 250gb. Wonder what this translates to in recording time?

Which camera mount do you use with your Rexing?

The size of the SD card really doesn't matter because the camera continuously over-writes the oldest files. You can change the resolution of the camera to increase/decrease the size of the files saved.

I mount the camera up high on the passenger side of the rear view mirror, where it becomes almost invisible from outside the vehicle. The mounting bracket attaches to the windshield with a supplied adhesive patch (and has never come loose in my experience . . . except when I removed it to change vehicles.) The power cable can be tucked above the edge of the headliner (Rexing provides a tool to assist with this) and then under the seal down the front of the door opening, then under the floor mat to a cigarette lighter receptacle somewhere in the centre console. Wiring becomes essentially invisible. On my current truck, I wired the dash camera to one of the overhead upfitter switches, using wiring in the passenger footwell.
