Ouch -- that's not good, Rob. (We've got just a few Rob's here!!!) Normally I'd provide some advice and steps to check this yourself (it's actually quite easy) but if there's wood rot or other damage underneath--best to not touch it.

One thing of note from the owner's manual: there's a requirement to do a roof inspection every x couple of months. (Not sure of the exact time requirement, so check your manual.) Might be in your best interest to document the inspections you've done and have those dates ready to convey to the Service Department when they ask.

Please follow up with the forum on what is found and what they do. The power of an owner's forum is sharing our individual experiences and expertise.

Rob79rod You might be able to pull the inside beauty ring and see the bottom side of the roof decking. If you can see the deck, you may be able to figure out what to expect going forward.

Rob79rod, please clarify, did you take delivery of the trailer in 12 of 2023 and then store it at the dealership? Or did you purchase in 2023, but not take delivery until 01 of 2024?

It was manufactured January of 2023. We purchased it off the lot in December of 2023. We have only owned it for about 40 days.

I'm not a Lawer, but If the trailer was purchased in 12/2023, but Rob79rod did not take delivery or possession of it until 01/2024 then it may be possible to make a case that the dealer is responsible for the water damage.

Did the dealer and Rob do the PDI at the time of purchase or just before Rob pulled the trailer from the site? Was Rob paying monthly rent for storage of the trailer at the dealers? The answer to these questions will help Rob determine if he has a case against the dealer.

It would seem to me that since you purchased in 12/2023, it should still be under warranty. I believe it has a 1 year warranty.
