  • 2022 - GDRV Solitude 378MBS - Hydraulic System Preventative Maintenance

A question for the preventative maintenance minded folks regarding PMS for the hydraulic system and jacks. Other than fluid levels, jack lubrication, and pump inspection, what other maintenance items should I be looking at? Thank you very much.

Keep the extended chrome cylinders clean/protected. A change of fluid at some interval but I'm not sure what a good interval would be. 3years? Look in owner's manual maybe?
Mark your fluid level and if it changes...look for a weeping cylinder/leaky connection.

Forum moderators are not GD employees--we are volunteers and owners presumably just like yourself. Unless specifically mentioned otherwise, we have nothing to gain should you choose to purchase a product or engage a service we discuss on this forum.

I was told by GD to replace the fluid at 5 years, this was after an apparent grit in valve problem at 5 years.

I thought the replacement interval would be because of water/condensation...grit could only come from a part with abnormal wear...but it would certainly require a fluid flush then.
Is there a filter on RV hydraulics? I'm thinking no?

            Scott'n'Wendy, I'm thinking you're right. No filter.
