  • Restrictor in spray port water line

    Exterior sprayer doesn't work

Hello all.I have a 2021 reflection 28bh 5th wheel. There is a spray port in the rear and no water pressure. So I took it apart and theres like a restricter valve in the line.I pried it out and it does't seem to be working.I left it out and put the port back together and now it work's.Is that in line valve important? Thanks.

DougRam1 Welcome to the family and the forum! Have you removed the hose to see if it water flows after the hose is removed. I am of the thought that was the check valve rather than a restrictor.

I would not think there would be any kind of restrictor. There should be a check valve that stops the water when the hose is disconnected. Pushing the quick connect into the port would open it like an air chuck.

I am having the same problem with our outside sprayer. I have inserted the quick connect numerous times. I also carefully pushed in the valve inside the connect with a small screwdriver and still no flow. I took out the drawer under my fridge and I see blue tubing hooked up to the assembly. This is on our 2021 2670MK.

When I connect the quick connect hose to rear spray port no water comes out. It is like there is no pressure at all. I also inserted the quick connect hose numerous times with no water return. I also carefully tried using a screwdriver in the valve inside the connector and still no water flow. This seems to be a problem on many grand design RVs. We have 2022 2670MK. The port was working before winterized.

Mine also was stuck after the winter, but after I gently pushed the check valve in to free it, it worked again. It may be a tolerance issue. Have you tried holding the hose in as far as it will go and seeing if it will open the check valve? Does the same sprayer work properly in the front port?

Yes we have tried multiple times but there’s no water pressure at all, no resistance when pushing in connector. There’s no water source that needs to be turned on as far as I know

The only water source needed would be shore water or pump water from the fresh tank, there is no valve that needs actuated to have water from the rear spray port that I know of.

Try shutting off the water. Open a faucet to relieve pressure. Insert the quick connect. Turn the water back on to see if it now works. Sometimes the pressure is too much for a cheap plastic quick connect hose to be inserted all the way in.
