  • PV wire and marine wire - compatable?

    $64,000 question

I know PV grade wire (UV and other resistant for exterior use) is pretty much required exterior on the roof, but once inside can marine wire be used as an extension?

I came up short on my 10 AWG PV wire, but I have plenty of 10 awg marine grade wire available. Can I use it to extend the existing 10 awg PV wire that extends inside the trailer, to tie into the breakers before the MPPT controller?

    Thanks for any help

If the only difference is the covering, wire is wire assuming cu to cu.
    it will work.

I like marine wire. It is more flexible than other stranded wire.
