Anyone ever use this? https://amazon.com/gp/product/B07PQS...OL9UAJ4T&psc=1 I have one in my cart for next time I order. Should make for a handy storage container to prevent the tube from getting crushed at least.

    Sorry Joseph
I use the push on caps - squeeze a small amount out before installing to get an air tight seal, or a 3/4" long screw of the proper size to fit the tube opening. I tend to keep spare caps and screws on hand. Someday I might even sort them but for now its like the scene out of Deep Impact of the kid finding the key to the bike. Only problem is remembering to clean up the mess.

I'm an electrician, so I always have electrical tape on hand and just wrap the tip with a few layers of tape. In my mind it is a simpler solution for storing/sealing unfinished tubes of sealant.
Won't help in the crush department though.

I use duct tape over the tip of tubes that do not come with a cap. These storage containers would most likely not prevent clogging but might prevent a mess if something compresses the tube. Looks like a good solution for the storage container in addition to the duct tape.

Tubes received. Should note that there is a neoprene foam type seal that compresses against each end of the tube to minimize or eliminate off gassing that leads to drying. I've done duct tape, screws, plastic bags over the tips, etc. This at least helps keep me from crushing them in the basement ending up with a puddle of goop.

Joseph--please post an update after some time has gone by and you attempt to use an open tube that was stored in the container. I"ll be interested to read your experience.

I purchased 2 of them. I used one to store an open tube of silicone. Went to use it several days later and found the caulk useless. I don't think they are meant for storage for more than a few days. Maybe I didn't use it properly but I think a screw in the tip works just as well and is less expensive...JMHO.

JimChow -- just a quick note to say "Hello" and "Welcome!" as that was your first post (appreciate the real world input). Since you've got a sig line already, I think you found the Welcome Letter.
