This seems like such a simple thing, but last year I didn't have it. This year I did: and I realized what a big deal it is, despite the simplicity. So maybe the idea will help others too.
After measuring the greasy WD bars carefully I built a simple box out of plywood and drilled round holes where I wanted the bars to rest. Then I cut through the box to turn the holes into semicircles. Then I routered the edges to avoid splinters, but a good sanding would work too.
This lives in my front storage compartment together with 25 other things, and I no longer need to worry about getting those things (and anything they touch) greasy!
