howson I checked the phone today and I am only running Android version 7. Tried to login again a couple of times and the timer just spun. Tried again just a few minutes ago and finally was able to log in and play with it. This is a very powerful tool to use. I was able to program in my current location, destination where we are going to in Texas in April and it searched all of the Truck Stops along my route and displayed all the latest reported prices. Can zoom into the area and click on the lowest price and tells you the name of the truck stop.

This really is an awesome tool now that I got it to work and seems very powerful with many different settings. Can set distance from route so you don't have to drive for 20 minutes to fill up. Very impressed so far.

Now as long as it works and I can log into it in 7 weeks I will be one happy camper, pun intended.

They had a system wide outage of the App for a little while today.

I wish I had read about the turning off the cash advance earlier. I stopped at a Loves to fuel, stumbled through the screens to make it go, asked about cash advance; I thought it was asking for fuel amount authorization, put in a hundred dollars. Bought 25 gallons of fuel, went into the desk, the kid hands me a hundred bucks. Cool. Looked at my bank charge the next day, $357, WHAT... Looked at purchase history, it showed I purchased another 75 gallons of fuel 3 minutes after I purchased the 25 gallons of fuel. Of course that's impossible, my tank only holds 48 gallons.

Called EFS up, they said talk with TSD, called TSD up they said sorry about that, apparently there was some kind of computer glitch that day and there have been a lot of strange things. They refunded me the appropriate amount. Ok, it was a hiccup, make they made it right.

Next time I tried my TSD card in Oregon they asked for a permit number at the pump. Rather than hassle with going inside or calling someone I just used my Flying J card. I am now in CA, wondering is I pull into a Pacific Pride if the TSD card will work. I gotta get off my lazy bum and figure this permit thing out, so far my TSD card has been a hassle in WA-OR-CA.

TSD has a new app called TSD Open Roads. The transaction detail is much better than the old app as is the map of fuel prices. Since this thread is about the math of a TSD transaction, below is a recent transaction as an example:

Name:	TA.JPG
Views:	319
Size:	34.4 KB
ID:	33091

The pump total, at 2.539 per gallon for 40.980 gallons, was $104.04.

          The discount is $29.63, so 104.04 - 29.63 = 74.41

          TSD's 10% share is 2.963, so 74.41 + 2.96 = 77.37

There's a .65 pump fee (regardless of how much fuel is pumped), so 77.37+.65 = 78.02

As you'll note above, the Total Paid shows $78.02 in the app, so the math works. The price per gallon ends up to be $1.904 (40.980 / 78.02). Not bad for a truck stop pump!

howson Thanks for the update. I have to agree that the new app is so much better than the old one. We just wrapped up a 2,000 mile trip and found some great savings along the way. One added and possibly lesser known benefits of being able to use the truck pumps (besides the speed of the high volume pumps) is that many of them have free air at the pump.
