  • Weigh Safe True Tow Hitch

Hi All, I bought our new 2021 Imagine 2670MK in December and prior to that we rented the same trailer a couple of times and used the supplied Husky Centerline TS with no issues. I liked it so much that I bought one prior to picking up the new GD. The first trip from the dealer to the camp site about 20 miles it was fine until we pulled into the park and the groaning and moaning started. I figured I had it setup wrong so I made some adjustments but went to far and it didn't handle the sway enough for the California desert wind. Once home I re-read the instructions and made the adjustments with the appropriate measurements
and the first 100 miles of the next trip it was quiet after that it was back to being noisy again. I contacted customer service and since they have sent me a new head, (2) L brackets, and new bars with no luck. I am looking into the Weigh Safe True Tow hitch and I am trying to see if anyone has used or heard anything about them. Any help would be appreciated.

I ran a blue ox on my TT. Once setup, it was a good hitch. Howard runs straps instead of the chains and it's much easier to connect because there is no cam over action with the limited tool length.

On some of the equalizer type hitches, they have a polymer slider that gets put under the bars to help with noise, have you tried those?

These are for the equalizer but you get the idea https://www.etrailer.com/Accessories...5-01-5150.html

I have no direct experience with any of the hitches so this is to just welcome you to the forum, let you know I moved your post to it's own thread, moved your signature block to the sig area, and finally point you to the Welcome Letter to New Members at https://gdrvowners.com/forum/main-fo...to-new-members

Hopefully the letter will provide the information you need to get the most from your time here on GD's Owners' (Technical) Forum.

I don't have any experience with the Weigh Safe True Tow hitch, so I can't comment on it. However, I run the Blue Ox hitch on mine and it doesn't make a peep, even after 10,000 miles. If you do want to try out the Blue Ox, let's chat first so you get the correct hitch size.
