3/14/22 Update: No idea on what was wrong with the EazLift hitch. A new head was order from EazLift, only the rails arrived. Roberson RV had a B&W 18k Patriot put together for another truck but deal fell through. It was decided to disregard trying to get the EazLift (this has been going on since 1/17/22) So the B&W hitch was installed as a direct exchange. Kudos to Roberson RV, Salem, OR. Will tow tomorrow and we’ll see if the movement is gone. Nobody seems to know what the issue was with the EazLift, Roberson advises this B&W is the Cadillac of hitches.

That's great! B&W makes a quality product, I'm sure you'll be happy with it.

Towed short distance today (3/15). Very little chunking and “very” little front to back movement. Looks like it was the EazLift hitch???

            Excellent news
They did right by you and you now have probably the best 5th wheel hitch on the market. I just bought a B&W OEM 25K companion for my new truck. BTW are you using a lube plate? B&W does have some thickness recommendations / restrictions on thickness. This is a good thing as thier manufacturing is very precise. They have some good videos here https://www.bwtrailerhitches.com/ BTW if the jaws don't open in a tight camping spot, you can just drive out of them if they are unlocked. I am going to use a small padlock on my locking arm, so some kids cant prank me as some tried to do years ago. I got lucky I spotted it.

Wildlife Cop Yoda I did upgrade the Lippert Pin box for a https://www.morryde.com/products/rubber-pin-box/ which eliminated the chucking.

I did not do a lube plate due to the wedge, but I did coat both the king pin plate and the hitch plate with the brush on of this https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/pr...l?cm_vc=-10005 and it makes hitching a lot better. I suggest putting that stuff on about a week before you actually plan on hooking up as it lets it cure and bond better.

Joseph - good spray lube. I use it on my Hay equipment. You are correct when using the turning point feature you should not use a lube plate as it will interfere with the wedge fitment against the head. I was also not aware that Morryde had a pin box replacement for the Lippert Turning Point. Do you know the part number? I could not find a match on thier web page.

Keith and Joseph, thanks for the info. I am using a lube plate. It is a10” that bought from the dealer for the EazLift. Pin box seems to fit tight to the hitch plate. Was a little different to connect than the EazLift was, took a little bit of raising and lowering the rv. Can sure tell when the jaws are locked and you can see them. Unlocking and driving out took a little bit of adjusting.

Yoda Keith, I suggest you call MorRyde. I had a standard pin box and the SuperGlide. https://www.morryde.com/products/orb...ubber-pin-box/ but they do not give dims for the bolts, nor do they say which rotating pin box it is designed to replace.

I looked on the other GD forum. Post #5 of a thread mentioned RTPB83-1622 to replace the LCI, but I would still reach out to the MFG as we all know there is never wrong information on the internet.
