Todays autos and trucks are torque based where the accelerator pedal position passes on a torque request to the ECU or ECM depending on the brand. So yes, you are asking your on board computer in what you want the engine to deliver.
The ECU does the rest to deliver the requested torque. At launch, you may experience less torque before the turbo has a chance to spool up where this region is basically naturally aspirated and due to a reduction in baro would result in a brief period of torque loss. Temperature via altitude could also raise your water to air CAC temperature and result in a slight reduction of torque if the VGT is at full boost. There are many factors that could cause a small reduction of torque at altitude. Have it checked and let us know.

Lots to do today as the place is overgrown. Ill be making an appointment for next week. Ill take the trailer with me at the same time to go to the axle frame place.

I had an injector fail a couple years ago and the dash msg showed I had so far to go before limp mode. Got home and had the injector replaced. The Ram Cummins forum members told me to make sure you keep the DEF tank over half full, when it gets close to empty funny things can happen. I don't know if that's actually true? But I have gotten into the habit of topping up the DEF tank once it gets to half. Then one jug of DEF brings it up to full without spilling. Maybe it helps? I dunno, but it's what I do now.2018 Dodge 3500 6.7 Cummins w Aisin and 9 cup holders

While in Whitehorse at a community camp fire (well drink in) the Dodge folks mentioned the issue of the tank float sticking if things got too low and that sometimes after filling the float stuck, until they hit one of the famous pot holes. GM folks had the same complaint on towing DEF usage, so we are all in the same boat. One guy ( from New England) had a 50 gallon plastic fuel tank with a pump on it and said he filled it at truck stops for the long trip, but like me could not find DEF at the pump in his travels across Canada. Maybe we did not know where to look.
He had a Transfer flow fuel tank tool box combo and had the plastic tank in the tool box. He had a huge 45' rig and a very customized 2020 F450 CC long bed pulling it. I had thought of doing that tool box, but after the Technician recommended using only the jugs I will skip that and just build a DEF holding rack into my generator holder redesign. I also discovered I don't need an AUX tank either based on my towing mileage and the 48 gal stock tank I have.

Keith, you may notice a difference in power level if the tech had to reset a lot of the ECM. The engine may need to relearn it's calibrations.Joseph

Oh my, LOL. I'm gathering info on the DEF issues where if I ever get pricing on a 2023 to order the LZ0, I should be well prepped on the DEF dilemma. The power and torque numbers are out on the new 3.0L engine where the increase will be appreciated. Where is tool time Tim?

Yoda -- did you get the specific error code from the dealer? I had a P24AF code (Particulate Matter Sensor Circuit) yesterday which lit the engine symbol on the dash. After consulting ForScan it was a "hard/confirmed" failure. I did a reset and power cycled the engine--no repeat of the code, so for now hoping it was a momentary issue. Won't be moving or using the truck for over a week so not much opportunity to test in the interim.Forum moderators are not GD employees--we are volunteers and owners presumably just like yourself. BTW - how easy is ForScan to use. I don't want to mess things up, just read and clear codes if in the middle of nowhere to keep going.2018 Reflection 150 Series 220RK 5th whee, Star White 2022 F350 King Ranch CC Long bed (HAL) (CCC 4062lbs), B&W 25K OEM Companion,. Yoda -- a bit of a learning curve, but not too bad. I have ForScan Lite on my phone. Glad I had it yesterday.Forum moderators are not GD employees--we are volunteers and owners presumably just like yourself. The engine will not adapt to drivers behavior but the transmission will. Engines and transmissions are calibrated by engineers (no auto cal) where they also calibrate in baseline tables for the transmission and will limit the range in which the transmission can adapt.
The trailer alignment could be putting some additional drag on the truck perhaps.
Also wondering if the truck was in Regen.
Yoda, Keith, torque on some HD trucks have been reduced at launch for component protection (in the past) but today some brands will put 100% of torque to the ground at launch. Its the traction control that will keep it from spinning. Traction control is driver selectable.
