Hi we are new to Grand Design.. .our steps are pretty steep so we’re are looking to replace them and I thought I’d ask here. Any ideas are helpful!
thanks!
I favor the Torklift Glowsteps. There are members here who do not like them (and that's fine--this is not a place where everyone has to agree). There's a brief thread on them here: https://gdrvowners.com/forum/exterio...n-a-19-315rlts

P.S. As you'll read in the Welcome Letter, using an email address for your forum name is not a good idea. If you want me (or another moderator) to change it, just let one of us know (by private message) the new name you'd like to use.
Forum moderators are not GD employees--we are volunteers and owners presumably just like yourself. Unless specifically mentioned otherwise, we have nothing to gain should you choose to purchase a product or engage a service we discuss on this forum.

We "almost" went for the longer more stable steps over the two step "diving board" that is standard on our Reflection 5th wheel . . . until we tried one at a Rally. With the standard steps, we can reach the door handle and open the door before stepping up onto the steps. With the 3 step, we had to go up one step, unlatch the door and come down that one step to open the door, then back up the steps. You can see this is the pictures in howson Howard's linked thread. This up/down/up every time was enough to cause us to stay with our OE steps. LCI does sell legs for the standard steps, if it is the "bounce" that you don't like. https://www.lci1.com/company/news/pr...rv-aftermarket
As Howard says . . . no problem with different opinions on this forum .
