Awesome follow up Kemper - I've used paneling nails in the past that are a close color match to the panels. They worked great, but you do need to put them in with a hammer.

Great write-up! I'm curious just what this burp is - can you describe? And, if you look down into the toilet when it's open, is the water up to the bottom of the pipe below the toilet when it does this burp?

      Thanks -

The 'burp' is an air bubble discharged up through the water in the toilet as the toilet is flushed. This is air leaving the holding tank through the toilet instead of leaving through the vent stack indicating that the vent inlet is blocked by water in the tank.
