This is my thread on replacing my axles and shackles, including the tools I used. https://gdrvowners.com/forum/operati...t-step-by-step I found the ball joint press a huge help in doing the job, but a big C-clamp can also work.
A word of caution - I believe you stock bolts have a knelled section below the head. Do not spin this as it will ruin the hanger hole. Take the nut off and press the bolt out. There are numerous U-Tub videos showing folks with a big impact gun spinning the bolt - not how to do it.
