Gently used is the way to buy. Unfortunately they are as rare as an honest politician (sorry, couldnt resist)
From what I understand the 2024 Silverado/Sierra HD trucks will also have some capability to monitor jacknife conditions due to the side blind spot monitors on the units with the trailering app. Hopefully by the summer I will know for sure if it works.2021 Reflection 337RLS, 2021 Silverado 3500HD 6.6 gas. My 2022 Silverado 3500 HD has jacknife monitoring. About 2 miles from RV dealer I turn on left turn signal and center display changes to side picture show signs de of truck and camper.Jay & Patty Wallace

The first time you are hitching/unhitching at a 30 degree angle with the tailgate open (and the slider back) . . . because that's the angle you needed to get into that perfect site . . . all the other campers with auto slider or fixed position hitches are going to be asking themselves . . . I wonder how he did that ???
Good find on the slightly used hitch . . . it looks like new. The original owner might not have used a nylon wear plate between pin box and hitch . . . this is a good thing to have.

karen and Lee -- moved your question to it's own thread. See https://gdrvowners.com/towing-and-hi...tion-new-owner
I hope you'll take a moment to read through the Welcome Letter--hopefully it will help you get the most from your time here.

So I started this thread back in January and have towed my trailer just once to a tire shop with no issues.
Just a follow up question... does the Max Turn Radius cap impact or change the calculation posted elsewhere that suggests measuring the total width of the trailer, divided by 2, and compare that number to the distance to the cab from the center of the hitch jaws? For example; my trailer is 96" wide, when I swing my tape 48" from the center of the jaws toward the glass it makes contact about halfway from the side to the center. My hitch is set in the furthest back setting. As noted I have not had a clearance issue as yet.
Thanks
