Was doing a bit of reading on towing safety, especially in congested areas. Lots of information on that topic, some I do not agree with. slouch as stay in the right lane. I stay out of the right lane and move one over on a 3 or more lane highway. Sometimes two lanes left if over 4 lanes to stay out of the merging traffic kayos. I also look for bypass or truck routs that are out of the way of the congestion if possible. In most cases the dash camera is for fault finding or to know what happened in case of an accident in the discusion - are there other uses?
First I have an Email into Vision works to see if they have an add on camera for my rear observation system that can record - never added the memory yet. But I don't know if it can record two channels at once.
But in basic use - are they worth it? If Yes what is a good compact unit with good high quality resolution? Speaking of that - what specifications should I be looking for as far as resolution and angle of lens, etc. What's a good recording loop time? There are also several mounting systems - what works as I don't want to block any sensors
BTW I have already checked into using the Ford camera system, but it cant be done (for now) and the resolution is not good enough and the wide angle lens is not appropriate (too wide)
Moderators - If I did not put this in the correct area, please move it.
Thanks Everyone
Keith
