  • Linex vs. Bedrug for new Truck?

Just traded in our F250 for a new 2023 F350. Thinking of a Linex liner vs a bed rug and curious what anyone's thoughts are. I've had a Linex several times, but never a bed rug. We pull a 22' Reflection 31MB (5th Wheel).

I always opted for the Linex type liner. In my mind, it sealed the box by making a bond to it. My current Ford has the factory-applied spray-in liner. Previous trucks had Linex.

Same as TedS. Current truck has factory spray-in that looks very much like LineX in the previous truck. My son has the previous 2014 truck and LineX still looks good. I have heard that bed mats hold moisture . . . but, no first hand experience. With a 5th wheel hitch, a bed mat is going to add cut-out complications. No hitch placement problems with spray-in.

Dealer sprayed bed in my DRW (similar or is Linex?). I'd go with it again, too, if there was another truck in my future.

I really like the Bedrug - but, I have a topper. It's really nice to crawl in on one's knees as it is cushioned. The bed of the truck is our "garage" when travelling (bumper tow)

          However, I wouldn't consider a Bedrug without a topper.

I actually have both. But I have a topper also. In a month or so, I'll be switching to a fifth wheel. I'll lose the topper and bed rug when I do that. I may keep the bed rug though and cut holes for the fifth wheel hitch pucks.

I have the bedbug impact bed mat - love it, Its just like the bed rug being cushioned, but the surface is smooth and water cant penetrate. I had the bed rug in my old 04 and it held up well but did stain. The impact bed mat wont stain. It was also very easy to trim out the puck holes. I got just the mat and not the side pieces as there were a lot of side tie downs I would to either trim around, or remove and bolt over the rug. In my 04 I had the bed rails bolted through the rug without issue.

              Hope this helps
