All credit cards can be used, but they are using Paypal as the payment processor. In short with the link between Eventbrite and Paypal broken, there is no way to pay for what is in your cart. Eventually your cart expires and the site goes back into inventory and the process repeats.

Canyonlight exactly what Neil stated above. Some of us are never given the opportunity to get to the payment page. Not sure what makes some people lucky and others not, but I’m in the unlucky group 😜

Yup, only allowed two folks REALLY from SD last rally in 2019..........this year we are locked out !.......along with some/many others it seems. To be clear, Carol and I did not try to register this year.

Well add me to the list of those that have a broken Eventbright to Paypal connection. I have cleared cookies, history, cache and tried 3 different browsers and no luck. Guess I wont be going to my first rally in my new GD Solitude!

Ditto here on the connection issue. I was able to secure a site but have not been able to get any other tickets to anything else. I’ve tried off and on all day. I guess that I was one of the lucky ones that got a site.

I don’t want to paste the Facebook post in here as I don’t have permission, but there’s been a post on both the National rally and Grand Design rally page explaining that PayPal Scott down their account at 1:14 due to suspected fraud when they saw a large fast binder of transactions coming in. They quoted 3-5 days to get it reinstated, and they’ve requested it be expedited. No information other than that unfortunately.

Well, we are among the severely disappointed. I worked all night Monday night, in bed at 0800, up at 1250 and started trying. I finally had to stop at 1630 to get into the shower. Tried a few more times while getting dressed, then back at it 1815 steadily until about 2045 and then off and on between calls. I have had at least 8 sites that I couldn't complete. When Kelly got home while I has getting dressed and she got very upset. After more trying, I finally told her at 2230 I had given up and to start planning something else. I went through a little bit ago and it showed about 15-20 total spaces available. I still haven't seen anything on the National site, and was too busy doing REFRESH>site not available>REFRESH for 3 1/2 solid hours.

I really don't know what to think at the moment.

I opened the page as soon as the clock on my computer said 1PM and section A was already gone in that split second. I suspect demand was huge.

Looks like according to a post from Pam that they’ve paused the eventbrite site for now until they get their PayPal issue straightened out. No word on what the plan is to reopen it, hopefully they’ll announce ahead of time when ticket sales will resume.

The National rally Facebook group. I try hard to avoid Facebook but it is the most direct source for info on the rally unfortunately.

This was the update posted on the GDRV4LIFE page as well as the Facebook groups:

The volume of people within the Grand Design Family registering for the 2021 National Rally was remarkable. Due to the significant demand and activity in such a short amount of time, PayPal's security system detected fraud and froze Grand Design's account. The freeze is what led to issues, including payment. Understandably, this is very frustrating.

Below is the note we received from Grand Design:

"Our apologies to everyone trying to register for the 2021 National Rally... PayPal noticed the significant activity and decided to limit our account to protect our account from fraud. They emailed us to let us know, and we acted as quickly as possible to resolve. We requested an expedited review process and explained the significance of the situation. PayPal is communicating that it could be a few days to resolve, but we are an expedited case. We will keep you all posted on the progress of the situation."

When PayPal comes back online, our goal is to be as fair as possible to move forward with registrations (using the time stamps on several avenues of communication). Truthfully, we do not have enough spots to accommodate everybody that wishes to register. The process of contacting everyone will be a time-consuming task over the next few days, and we thank you in advance for your patience and understanding. We will continue to be transparent on new information as we get it.
