There is definitely a National Rally planned for late August . . . I don't know why it is not on the GD Rally site . . . I will look into this.

The Rally dates are here Welcome | Grand Design RV National Rally (gdrvnationalrally.com), this is also the place where you will get all updates and can sign up with your email to receive updates.

Grand Design is in charge of GDRV4Life and posting the Rallys dates there, I am not sure why it is not posted yet but it should be coming soon.

The GDRV website has the National Rally listed now. The dates are 8/28/23 - 8/31/23. Sign ups will begin on 4/1/23. If you want to attend, I'd suggest you be prepared to sign up the minute the site opens. The demand is heavy for the 600 available sites. See the FAQ link that hjmichael posted above for more details.

Speaking of the Rally. I found out yesterday that unfortunately there will not be a 3rd Annual Golf Scrambles Tournament this year. It's apparently due to the date change. We're very disappointed, as are the people that have attended the past two tournaments and intended to play again this year.

I see you can arrive as early as Friday for the Monday start. Is there an advantage to that and any close places to see.

Keith - During the rally, there is so much going on that it's hard to just visit with friends and relax. Getting there early is nice. There are lots of places to see in the immediate area. Much of it is focused on the different cultures in the area. There's the RV Hall of Fame, The Midwest Museum of American Art, breweries, and restaurants.

Rally registration question
I got an email saying the ordering system was open, but you cant purchase until the 1st. Does it allow you to save information ahead of time, or do you need to re enter everything if an area choice or side trip is not open? SWMBO likes some of the side trip options, especially the ladies only trip. I was thinking of trying, but thought I would ask first.

I think if you make an Eventbrite account, and are logged in prior to registration then it'll pull some of your details in automatically but you'll still need to input the rally specific info at the time of booking (rig model, vin, etc).

Once you find and select a site it holds it for you for a limited time while you complete the transaction, so you've got a little time, but I'd have everything ready to go ahead of time just the same.

I think I have an Eventbrite account for going to the Colorado Rally a few years back, but will sure look into that before the 1st
You answered exactly what I wanted to know. So if the area shows availability in the first step and I click on it, it holds that spot in the area for the 40 minutes allowed to complete the registration. I just got an update email and watched the video - very good instructions, was just not sure about the site hold. and having to go back.

Now to leave myself a BIG note to be online and ready 10AM Mountain time as it opens 1PM Eastern on the 1st. Just need to pin down the side trips

I believe you confusing the 2023 National Rally https://www.gdrvnationalrally.com with a local Texas rally. GD has local rally's all over the place. Were only talking about the National Rally here.
