2024 National Rally

    2024 National Rally

    Early planning stages. Might be in the area of Goshen in late August this year. When do you email or call someone to get in? What is the procedure for this one? Went to the Quartzsite rally last year but were kind of late and were on a waiting list for a while before getting our spot. Would like to avoid that if we can make the National this year.

    Not sure if this is a good way to get information....but I am following this page https://www.gdrvnationalrally.com/

    My guess march timeframe they will open registration.

    I'm planning on attending this year as we will be in that area late summer/fall.

      I believe registration opens in April. There are usually sites available for a while, but the coveted Sewer/50A/Water sites go quickly (within minutes). The rest of the sites are 30A/Water with pump out tickets included. The page Allen linked is the official page for the rally and they keep the FAQ updated there with relevant information. There is also a Facebook group for the national rally if you go to the dark side lol.

        I restrict my (anti) social media presence to forums like this one. People have shown me some things from FB and I just don't see the need for it.

          Understand completely. I do pretty much the same, except for occasionally trying to help people with RV issues there, and posting in that National Rally group closer to the rally. They try to email everyone who is signed up with updates as well. There is a link to subscribe to that mailing list on the rally page Allen linked to.

            Just an update, I heard today registration will be April 6.

              When you do find out the date and Time of the registration be sure youre 'Johnny on the spot' to register the moment the bank opens. They can sell out the first day or within hours.

              This web page is loaded with information you will need to register properly https://www.gdrvnationalrally.com/ Its not face book. I believe there is a link to sign up for notifications. The process worked well for me last year. We are passing on attending this year. Probably do the Colorado Rally (If I can get in) and spend a week or more in Rocky Mtn National Park.to keep SWMBO happy .

                Thanks for the tips. I may or may not be there this year. Just trying to make sure I'm aware of important dates. We're either going to do a trip around the great lakes.....or head west towards Cody, WY, Yellowstone again. Haven't made up our minds yet.

                I might not go if you're not.....

                  Then come to the Colorado rally (if I can get in). Were staying close to home this year and plan on sitting a while - fully test the set up I have boon docking in Rocky Mtn National Park.

                        Hmmmm. I'm going to be relaxing on a Caribbean beach until the 9th of April......wonder what our chances will be three or four days after the opener.

                          Get on the wait list. There are usually quite a few that cancel throughout the year. Or you could have someone at home do the registration for your, requires a little bit of info but not too bad.

                            Ya, I was on the waitlist for quartzsite last year....like number 150 or something, but still got in. But, I could probably get someone to register for us. I don't remember any out of the ordinary info required to register. Just criminal record info and whether you prefer Ginger or Mary-Ann. Hmmmm...showing age...lol
