Yoda -- the trailer's name is POW, short for "Project on Wheels".

      Great name:
      Is that short for $$$?
Maybe I should name my trailer as NEP........pronounced "NEEP" for never ending project? SWMBO just squashed that idea .

Maybe I should call the truck BWW,,,big white whale? Me thinks I need to rethink that.

Congratulations Keith!!!! Excellent choice!! FWIW: The 'window sticker' is actually called the Monroney sticker, named after Senator Almer Monroney of Oklahoma. Who sponsored the Automobile Information Disclosure Act of 1958. That info, plus 5 bucks will, maybe, get you a coffee at Starbucks. Congrats again.

            Yoda

Congrats, glad it is finally coming. I thought of a name "Willie", maybe it fits.

              Yoda

The truck's name can be Obi and the trailer's name Wan.

Star Wars fans will get it--everyone else will go, "what?".

howson Is the dog named Kenobi? What about getting a portable grill that goes into the receiver hitch on the trailer and calling it Kenobi? (more of the wars reference for us old geeky guys)

My head hurts - you made me learn something new. Amazing what folks know here. Thanks very much. Now if I can only score a private offer between now and delivery I will be stoked.

UGG will you two cut it out ........ then again Howard the idea I like. However SWMBO laughed and gave me one of those looks But keep them coming. My dogs name is Emma so it does not fit. Joseph I thought you were going to call the grill the Kenoby-barbi or the other way around Barbi-Kenoby.

Country Campers Brian when you said "Willie"I thought of Wonka but I know that's not what you meant. DW groaned on that one - sorry. I think you meant Free Willie after the whale movie right?

Me thinks I should go back to my corner now
                    Keith

Afterthought - With the spare tire cover I have on the trailer maybe I should just call it Yoda.

                      • Keith - not to rain on your parade, but keep your expectations on delivery out there a bit. Even after our truck (F150, different factory) had a manufacturing date, we got many changes in estimated delivery, one time it was even showing May... Once we got the update that it was actually built, it still took about 6 weeks to get it in our driveway. The original build date (blend date on the window sticker) was January 22nd, the notification that it was built showed Feb 2nd or so, delivery to the dealer was March 2nd (Kansas City to Minnesota). I don't know if it was built with a few parts missing, or if the delay was shipping. The "official" reason was "we are doing some final checks to insure you are completely happy..." or some such blather. I can't imagine what it must be like to try to run a complicated manufacturing company such as automobile these days...

                        • Without parts it becomes very difficult. Typically more than one supplier is used, but when the chip sources are the issue, everyone is affected. Another lesson learned on critical components sourced outside of this continent.

Yep I know the shipping can take a bit. Dealer is optimistic. It been taking 3 to 4 weeks to ship the other orders they have made. One showed up in two. I'm not holding my breath though. I will be doing a lot of driving as I need 500 miles before towing.

Brian Country Campers You are correct on the outsources parts issue. I cant understand why silicon valley in California or other places cant make enough for the US. We need to bring a lot of manufacturing home.

                              • Yoda Kieth, due to EPA regulations, (from my understanding) what little manufacturing of such components in the US is limited by emissions (air, solid, and liquid). I would not be surprised if the US manufacturing equipment was not boxed up and shipped across the borders to other facilities.

Let's also remember that component manufacturing for chips is like casting. Lots of specialized machines to make parts. Change the part and you need to retrofit the machine.
