Yes Rob I have been thinking about that as well, will add that to my parts list and move retirement out another year.

Cate&Rob That would be a nice add. I'll have to think about that!

Update for today - all PEX crimped and swivel connectors tightened.

Looks like a fairly massive solenoid to hang on the pex. Is it lighter than it looks?

I don’t know what it weighs . . . but, it has been hanging there for years and thousands of kilometres, with no issue.

              Hi Scott,

WRT a pressure gauge . . .a glycerine filled 0 - 100 psi gauge works well. That is what I have now . . . the previous non-glycerine-filled gauge bounced around a lot. I got mine at Princess Auto. (A chain of Harbor Freight type stores that began on Princess Street in Winnipeg . . . for our US readers)

Thanks to all of you that take the time to post in this forum!!

It has given me the push to make improvements that I probably would not try!!!

For the most part - I have completed the wet bay work!

Here's a pdf with pictures and a parts list at the end:
I used the PEX to PB connectors for the connections to the hose going into the underbelly.

Since the trailer is at a storage facility - so far I've only been able to utilize pump pressure for leaks.

I decided to frame in area behind the Nautilus and add a heater, fan and controller with the hopes of being able to maintain an above freezing temperature for all the plumbing. I live on the Texas Gulf Coast, so we might not see freezing weather again this year... (120 vac required to work).

                Also, I decided to add:
                • Drip tray
                • Pressure Gauge with bleed
                • Plexiglass

Nice job! The addition of the drip tray is a great idea--wish I'd thought of it. Added to the Modifications List!
                  Thanks for posting!

Thank you to this group!! Wealth of knowledge and made this project so much easier. Now to trace down the leaks in the underbelly area.

See my post number 4 for a pdf file, P-1 Nautilus Installation that gives the details of the plumbing harness. It will be helpful.

Lptxtandem, in your pictures and/or discussion you do not mention the connection to the Hot Water Tank. That has been my biggest headache so far. So question to all, instead of using the flexible tubing with the crimped on connections can we use a hose such as what is used for a washing machine?

Or hose in a pump silencing kit.

RMcCabe I haven't got around to the water heater yet, sorry.

RMcCabe, as TedS indicated, the answer is yes. Just need to make sure the outlet hose is rated for hot water, and you might need a few adaptors to go from one diamter to the other (not all 1/2 inches are created equal) and type of connection.
