              • I just measured for my DuraFlap https://duraflap.com/truck-model/for...rent-f250-350/ mud flaps driver side sits 1/2" lower than passenger side. My guess its the full 48 gallon fuel tank. Now to get the Retrax Pro cover on and the Bedrug impact bed mat installed. The the hitch and initial hook up for clearance and adjustment. I am going to love the cameras it has I discovered the tailgate camera operates at speed. It also has a nose camera so I don't hit anything up front when parking. The rear suspension sure looks like it has a lot of travel available.

I also came out with a fantastic deal in my book. The MSRP went up over 2K during the wait, but I was price protected . I saved over 6K from sticker and got the premium ESP plan at dealer cost. They also only charged a $100 doc fee (no x plan fee they could of). The real savings is on tax. No tax as I am out of state and when I register here in CO its only the county tax of 2% and I save the 2.9% State sales tax if I had bought local or another $2400. I also really like the color - its growing on me. First white truck.

When I add the stuff I will do an install thread.

I never noticed that - Ill haft to measure - bet it is close. On nice thing I noticed is it turns tighter than my 04 (only needs 20 acres to turn around rather than 40 ) and I already love all the cameras - just need to remember which button to push Rides smoother empty than my 04 too.

LOL so am I. This truck is amazing. Getting out of the dealers parking lot (I took a wrong turn to go out the back way and had to squeeze through a few tight spaces) I quickly found how useful the cameras are. The truck bed camera alone will save my back from trying to look back to se the hitch.

Ronda my sales gal did a wonderful PDI, and the service manager found and tagged my pass through and up fitter wires. Cant beat that for service. I am now ordering the last of the add ones (BullRing stake pocket tie downs and DuraFlap mud flaps) that I had to wait on to take measurements. The bull rings need to go in before the Retrax bed cover. More threads to come

Thanks for all of your help.

PS the big adventure will be setting up the ultimate trailer system. Lots of cable and stuff to figure out.

Now there is one minor complaint. Ford includes the 3" to 2.5" sleeve for the receiver hitch, but does not include the reducer to 2". I must get that later from Ford or aftermarket. I am hoping to find a 3" to 2" to reduce any slop - but it will be a rare occasion that I tow a TT.

                      Thanks again

                      • Yoda Thats looks awesome! I think in 05 they went to front coil springs in the front from the front leafs they used previously. It cut the turning radius down a ton as I recall.

I did purchase a 2-3" adapter for the same reason. I do not use any of them though, I bought a 3" adjustable height hitch I use for everything. Has a 1-7/8", 2", and 2-5/16" ball. Plus it has a little scale to check tongue weight. I tow a cargo trailer for work and occasionally need to move other trailers around, so I get decent use out of it. It comes apart pretty nice and fits under the rear seats. They get a pretty penny for it, bit its aluminum which makes it way easier on my back.

                        • Hi Keith,

I bought the 2 1/2 to 2 sleeve . . . but it is a PITA to line up both sleeves and there is a lot of slop. My advice (what I ended up doing ) . . . is just get a 2 1/2” hitch. Everything that I randomly tow has a 2” ball, so that works for me.

                          • The rear suspension is really soft at the upper end. Makes for a comfortable ride when empty. I used to reduce rear tire pressure on the HDPP F150 when not towing . . . but, don’t bother on the F350. The F350 drops more with the trailer pin weight than the F150 did! This is why many Superduty trucks look like they are “going uphill” while well within their payload capability. If it were not for already towing the 5th wheel slightly nose high . . . I would add airbags.
